FlowAlgo is paused. Here are the alternatives.
FlowAlgo — one of the oldest options flow tools — stopped taking new subscriptions and canceled existing ones on October 30, 2026, while it rebuilds for a Q1 2027 relaunch. If your flow feed went dark with it, this page is the short version: what happened, what to look for in a replacement, and the live options, honestly compared — including where each one beats Profit Builders.
What happened to FlowAlgo
In late October 2026, FlowAlgo announced it was taking its platform offline to rebuild it. Its sign-ups page — checked November 4, 2026 — says, in its own words: “We’re not taking new subscriptions or trials right now. Plans and pricing for the new platform will be announced before launch.” Existing members’ subscriptions were canceled automatically on October 30, with prorated refunds to follow. FlowAlgo says it will be back in Q1 2027, and that existing members will hear the launch date first, by email.
What isn’t known yet: the new platform’s features and pricing have not been announced, and FlowAlgo’s sign-up page gives no technical reason for the rebuild — coverage of the announcement describes it as a rebuild of the data pipeline the service depends on. What is certain is the practical part: there is no way to subscribe to FlowAlgo today, and no access to restore in the meantime. If FlowAlgo was your flow feed, you need a replacement that is open now — or a plan to trade without one until Q1 2027.
One honest note before the list: two of FlowAlgo’s signature features — voice alerts that read activity aloud, and its dark-pool Levels overlay — are not replicated exactly by any alternative below. If either was load-bearing in your workflow, weigh that against everything else on this page. Our head-to-head breakdown is at FlowAlgo vs Profit Builders.
What to look for in a replacement.
Five criteria that decide whether a substitute actually replaces FlowAlgo — or just fills the browser tab until it comes back.
Real-time flow, classified from the tape
A replacement should show trades as they print — not a delayed feed or an end-of-day snapshot — and classify each print (sweep, block, opening, unusual) as it arrives, so you are not reverse-engineering raw tape at market speed.
A grading methodology you can read
FlowAlgo never published how it filtered flow. Whoever replaces it should: a public methodology — what gets flagged, what gets filtered out, and why — lets you audit the feed before you pay for it, instead of trusting a black box.
Dealer positioning in the same seat
FlowAlgo had no gamma exposure data. If you were bolting GEX onto your flow read from a second tool, a replacement that bundles flow and dealer positioning ends the two-subscription stack.
A trial that doesn't charge you to look
FlowAlgo's old model charged $37 for a two-week preview. Most replacements now offer a genuinely free trial window — but check whether the trial covers the features you actually need, because some trials exclude GEX and dark pool data.
The real monthly total
Price the stack, not the headline: flow plan, plus the GEX add-on, plus the alert tier you will actually land on. A $50 flow plan that needs a second $99 tool for gamma costs more than a $129 bundle.
Six live options, honestly compared.
Prices are each vendor’s published list prices, checked on their own sites in November 2026 — check the vendor for current pricing before you buy. Every entry names what that tool does better than Profit Builders; a replacement guide that hides the trade-offs isn’t one.
Profit Builders
The closest like-for-like replacement that is open today. Real-time options flow graded QUALIFIED or PASS under a fully published methodology — the audit trail FlowAlgo never offered — plus a GEX heatmap across 194 symbols in the same subscription, and Ask PB, a built-in chat analyst that answers flow and GEX questions from the same tape, included per plan. Alerts deliver to Discord and Telegram. The honest trade-offs: Profit Builders is a younger, smaller platform than the names below, and it does not offer FlowAlgo’s voice alerts or its dark-pool Levels overlay.
Unusual Whales
The category’s biggest platform, and the default landing spot for displaced FlowAlgo users. Real-time flow is one module in a much larger product: dark pool data, screeners, politician and insider trade tracking, a separate API, and the largest community in the space. The trade-off is focus — the flow feed is presented for your own interpretation rather than graded against a published rulebook, and the entry tier caps custom alerts at 25.
Cheddar Flow
A clean, readable flow feed with an AI assistant (Cheddar AI) on every plan, and Discord bots that server owners can add to their own communities — a distribution trick Profit Builders doesn’t match. The caveats are in the tiers: gamma exposure and dark pool orders and levels sit on the $99/mo Professional plan, and the free trial covers Standard only, so you can’t trial the GEX before paying.
TradeEcho
The deepest single-plan stack here: real-time flow with per-print scoring, a dark pool module, and a full dealer-positioning suite (GEX, DEX, VEX and more) — with a published methodology of its own. It is also the most expensive option on this page, at roughly double Profit Builders’ bundle, so the case for it is depth, not price.
Quant Data
Real-time and historical options order flow, shown both consolidated and trade-by-trade, next to a broad dealer-exposure suite (GEX, DEX, VEX, CHEX), dark pool prints, and apps for web, iOS and Android. It also sells API access with MCP support — Profit Builders has no public API. The standard plans are for non-professional traders only.
BullFlow
Tied for the cheapest real-time flow feed in the category. Basic includes real-time unusual flow, GEX levels, alerts and historical flow for $39/mo ($33/mo billed annually); dark pool data needs the $69/mo Premium plan. The trade-offs are stated on BullFlow’s own FAQ: it does not currently offer a trial period, so the first month is the trial — and it is a smaller, newer entrant than the names above it here.
