GEX Heatmap and Options Flow, in One Place

Profit Builders combines a live gamma exposure (GEX) heatmap across 195 symbols with real-time options flow classification — refreshed every 5 minutes during market hours — so you can see where dealers are positioned and whether institutional flow is actually pressing against it.

02 / 06The heatmap

What the GEX heatmap shows

Net GEX by strike and expiration, Call Wall and Put Wall levels, the Zero Gamma flip point, and the day's Expected Move range (high and low) — the same overlay visible on the live chart view at /gex. Strike-level dollar exposure is shown directly in the heatmap grid, not abstracted into a single score.

Why GEX alone isn't enough

Dealer positioning tells you whereprice is more likely to pin or accelerate — a strong Call Wall can cap upside, a broken Put Wall can accelerate a move lower. But GEX alone doesn't tell you whether real capital is moving right now. Profit Builders pairs the heatmap with live sweep and block detection so you can see both: where the walls are, and whether flow is actually testing them.

04 / 06Refresh

Updated every 5 minutes during market hours

The GEX heatmap refreshes every 5 minutes during market hours (9:00 AM–4:00 PM ET, weekdays) — not once at the open, and not on a manual-refresh basis.

05 / 06FAQ
What is gamma exposure (GEX) in options trading?
GEX measures how much dealers who sold options need to hedge as the underlying price moves, based on their aggregate options positioning. High positive GEX tends to dampen price moves; negative GEX tends to amplify them. Profit Builders computes this per strike, per symbol, from live options positioning data.
How often does the GEX heatmap update?
Every 5 minutes during market hours (9:00 AM–4:00 PM ET, weekdays).
What's the difference between Call Wall and Put Wall?
The Call Wall is the strike with the largest concentration of positive (dealer-short) gamma above the current price — often acting as resistance. The Put Wall is the equivalent concentration below price, often acting as support. Both are computed live and shown on the /gex heatmap.
